About Chris
Chris Hansen was originally drawn to the drums by hearing his older brother, Lee Hansen play in marching bands as well as the Phantom Regiment Cadets, in parades as a child in his native Rockford Illinois. Born in 1975, Chris has been playing drums since the age of 7. Chris grew up in Rockford, Illinois, USA. Chris began studying Rudimental Drumming with local drummers of the World Champion Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps, as well as Marty Hurley, John Wooten and Jeff Prosperie, who are some of the top authorities in Rudimental Drumming as well as the instructor's of the Phantom Regiment drum line.

Chris has participated in numerous drumming events and contests worldwide and in 1999 Chris moved to the Orlando Florida area where he found himself playing and performing at Epcot Center, Disney World. From there, he joined up with the Tony and Emmy Award winning Broadway Show called Blast where he performed as a hand percussionist and marching percussionist. Chris has become accustomed to performing all over the world in places like America's Disney World, Universal Studio's Florida, Various Convention gig's and Blast, Canada, Japan's Tokyo Disney Resort, Australiafs, Conrad Jupiterfs Casino Show called Rhythm of the Night on the Gold Coast, Hamilton Island Resort, in the Whitsunday Islands of northern Queensland, as well as South Africa.

Chris enjoys playing numerous styles like Funk, R&B, Rock, and Jazz Fusion. He has made his move and has been performing in and around Japan since 2004. Chris has performed alongside such notable drummers as his brother Lee Hansen, Naoki Ishikawa, Jeff Queen, Todd Byrnes and Kevin "Big Kev" Schilling. He has also graced the stage with legendary musician's Vinx, Cheap Trick of Rockford Illinois, Thonk with Aaron "Distraction" Saxon (guitar) Damion Barnard (bass) and Todd Byrnes (drums), Kenneth Andrews (vocals) from Casino Drive, Toshi Yamazaki (guitar) Foomy Koyasu (bass), Rei (keyboardist) from R C Succession and Casino Drive as well as Everyone from the Broadway Show Blast.

Chris has also been involved with producing, writing music and designing choreography for touring Percussion Shows with his brother Lee Hansen. The latest being "6 to 1" (Grant Braddock, Mike Barron, Larry Cauley, Keith Stephens, John Angles and Dave Cox), which toured South Africa and Taiwan.

Chris's talents have carried him across the globe, but in the spring of 2007, Chris has started involving himself in many different events and recording sessions in Tokyo and Japan.

Most importantly, Chris is very active in the fight against Global Warming and hopes to help everyone on our great planet to help spread the word to help save what we haven't yet destroyed.

Chris enjoys working and teaching percussion and is available for instruction in the Tokyo area.

Chris play's Pearl drums, Sabian cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks and Remo Drum Heads.
